Style Tips for Dating Photos
Shirley Jolliff, Costumer, is a popular speaker at MoCoGenSo meetings. She identifies the time frame of old photos by her expertise in the styles of dress for men and women, and the changes that took place in the fashion world during the 19th and early 20th centuries.
In September 2004, Shirley drew common styles for men, women and children in each decade of the last half of the 19th century. She has agreed to share these sketches to help you classify your old photos.
