Who My Maternal Grandfather Really Was
by Junel Davidsen
Summary: The focus of this presentation is on the importance of ‘building-out’ family trees with information from selected DNA matches and other genealogical sources. In this case, with no real surname to start with, DNA match information was used to build collateral lines in order to determine families where direct relationships might exist. The value of testing at 3 companies: 23andMe, AncestryDNA, and FTDNA is also emphasized.
