May 7, 2015 – Monthly Meeting: “The Naturalization Process”, by Linda L. Avakian AG®

So your ancestors immigrated to this country? This meeting will help you learn what they had to go through to get Naturalized once they arrived. Learn the basics about Naturalization and get started finding those elusive documents. Learn what are the different steps and what do they mean: Declaration of Intent, Petition, Oath and Certificate, other ways of Naturalization, and where to find these records.

If your ancestor could do it, surely you can find out when and where!

Linda is a long time genealogical “go-to” person in the Monterey area. She has been President of MoCoGenSo twice in the past. She regularly speaks at the annual DAR conference. And even better, she is a volunteer at the Family History Center on Wednesdays from 1:00pm to 5:00pm where she can help you with New England States research. You can read the rest of her biography by clicking here Linda Avakian.

Don’t miss this MoCoGenSo meeting. Linda can help you get through those complicated government papers.

Doors open at 6:15 pm, the meeting starts at 7:00 pm. We’ll see you at the Family History Center, 1024 Noche Buena, Seaside, CA., left rear of building.
